Ciao, y’all!
Happy Friday. I am happy to welcome all the new followers to my Olive + Pine newsletter! I’m glad you’re here. Needless to say, due to the amount of people that have reached out to me this past week, Italy is definitely at the top of the list these days to potentially plant new roots of some kind. I think maybe that has always been the case, but I sense that people are looking for a retirement option or a secondary home because many of you are seeking more affordable housing options (again, I bought my house in Tuscany for €120,000), a lower cost of living and/or just a more peaceful, healthier and slower pace of life. Am I right? I know that was the case for me!
And even if you are just here dreaming and you enjoy looking at homes for sale, this is the place for you, and you are welcome here.
I hope the homes I curated for you this week inspire you. There is an amazing villa up for grabs at auction, so don’t miss that one! Side note, I had a friend of mine in Italy that bought their villa at auction and got it at a STEAL, so I had to share one I found this week with you all!
And if you wouldn’t mind taking a few minutes at the end, I would love your feedback on something regarding property tours from my poll Tuesday. Grazie!
Andiamo! Enjoy.

Fascinating property in the heart of Vignanello

What a cozy place with charming details! One of my favorite details is the small balcony overlooking the main street of the town. The entire house has just been renovated with French nailed parquet, gold leaf details, beautiful glasswork and it is being sold fully equipped, from the latest generation TVs to antique furniture. That is a huge bonus!
Legend has it that Handel, the famous Saxon musician, particularly enjoyed visiting the residence to taste the delicacies cooked by a local villager and thus find rest, hence the name of the house Al Ristoro di Handel. A must see!

Thanks for those that attended the Buying a Home in Italy Workshop last weekend! It was fun spending a Saturday morning with you all.
And thank you for the feedback on my poll from Tuesday’s newsletter. It looks like Property Tours followed by Community Groups lead the way. I’m always looking for ways to bring even more value to my paid community, so your feedback helps guide that!
I appreciate your feedback and look forward to bringing more things of value to you in 2025! Have a wonderful week!

I love this trend of featuring houses for sale in the area you're writing about! I've seen it on a few different publications now. You've done this so well, Angie! It's so fun to peruse the options available. Absolutely makes me want to move to Tuscany tomorrow.
Hi Angie and Happy Friday!
Know you’re getting excited and anxious for your return to Italy!
I’m voting for both shared videos here and also maybe arrangements to tour a property or two while in Italy for a retreat. That would be a great add-on for before or after the retreats.
Looking at flights and it seems that Rome or Milan are the best routes from the southeastern US. Any suggestions on best deals?? I’m always looking at Delta & partners first but open to other options.
Thanks for doing what you do!! 😍
